It's time for No. 1 pick Fultz to turn 76ers into winners

Markelle Fultz with the No. 1 pick. As for his proclamation that his son will lead the Lakers to the playoffs in his rookie season?

As expected, Washington guard Markelle Fultz went first and UCLA PG Lonzo Ball went second overall during Thursday's NBA Draft.

"I was just waking up", Fultz recalled, his trainer breaking the news of the trade to him. "I really appreciated that". He says Joel Embiid has texted him 75 times since he visited Philly.

Fultz is the all-but-certain first pick in Thursday night's NBA draft and wore shoes made of - what else? - basketballs to Barclays Center for the festivities.

The importance of Fultz's addition to the Sixers isn't just that Philadelphia added arguably another top draft talent, but that they added the player best suited for their team as well. "These guys are great guys".

Now the franchise is hoping for more with the trio of Fultz, Simmons and entertaining center Joel Embiid.

Fultz said it's the pictures of the things that mean the most to him.

"We got a lot of facilitators".

"The future is bright". The answer? "I've been going to Larry's", he said.

Trump congratulates Handel on Twitter
There is a lot of noise coming out of the White House - but is it just that at the moment? This is a win. Asked Wednesday night on CNN if Pelosi was as toxic to Democrats as Trump, Ohio Democratic Rep.

Given the changing structure in the middle of the Eastern Conference, the concept of the Sixers playing beyond Game No. 82 is reasonable. Last season, the Sixers were the 25th ranked team in the league when it came to hitting the deep shots.

That is why Fultz's team-mate Embiid is fully on board with the opinion, as outlandish as it may be for a team that have won 75 games in their last four full seasons combined. They could wait out the season and extend a qualifying offer of eight million making Embiid a restricted free agent.

Before whispers of the trade surfaced with Boston and Philadelphia, Fultz was scheduled to work out for the Celtics. So I found out for myself. I know he has shared with you the owner's plan and our path that there is still a large part of this growth that will happen organically and not force-fed. They'd ordered Chick-fil-A. It was there waiting for me on a table. (Michael Jordan) and everybody. "That's what I get most excited about". Who is, in Fultz's opinion, the GOAT?

The 76ers acquired the top pick in a trade with the Boston Celtics a week ago, allowing them to move up and select the 19-year-old American. "Everybody knows A.I., and that he is known for the cross-over".

How it affects the Sixers: If the Celtics had any interest in Butler, who could've theoretically helped them inch closer to Cleveland in the East, I'm very surprised they weren't able to beat Minnesota's offer.

If Fultz doesn't want to head back into the city right after practice, there are also two Chick-fil-A locations in Cherry Hill, N.J., just down Routes 38 and 70 from the Sixers practice facility in Camden.

"It's insane, I couldn't ask for anything more, to be able to learn from (Johnson) every day is truly a blessing", Ball said.

At No5, they scooped up Kentucky's De'Aaron Fox, whose deadly speed and athleticism at point guard made him both the best player available and best fit for Sacramento. "But that's my goal".
