HTC's 2017 flagship U11 woos audiophiles and bundles Alexa

Unveiled at a live-stream event in Dubai on Tuesday, The Taiwanese tech firm's new device comes with Edge Sense; its frame is pressure-sensitive, which allows a user to squeeze or press on the sides to perform certain tasks, such as unlocking the phone, taking pictures and other actions. Although we don't have any details on pricing (which is what we were waiting for), but we do know everything else about the device now as it has been officially launched.

Presented as a successor to HTC 10, the new U11 is available for pre-order on the HTC website for $649. HTC has opted for Qualcomm's latest and most powerful chipset, the Snapdragon 835.

This processing power is coupled with two memory and storage variants - 4GB RAM/64GB onboard storage and 6GB RAM/128GB onboard storage. The UltraPixel 3 camera in HTC U11 has five-axis image stabilization and dual pixel auto focus. On the front, there's a new 16MP sensor with EIS, a 150-degree wide-angle lens and an f/2.0 aperture.

Users can use Edge Sense in two different ways: long squeeze and short squeeze.

Stay tuned for my full HTC U11 review soon.

The HTC U11 will come in astonishing colors, lack a headphone jack and feature a squeeze-based interface called Edge Sense.

The HTC U Ultra that was recently launched is doing well so far, so now people are looking forward to the HTC U 11 that is going to be revealed on May 16.

Finally, HTC itself has posted a few videos of some of the different aspects of the HTC U11 which you can view below. We are still negotiating the price at which we can sell HTC U11 in India.

British Columbia's LNG Dreams May Be Over
Horgan has said he would use all of the tools at his disposal but hasn't been very specific about what those are", she said. NDP and Green Party will be able to work together in a new government following the closely contested May 9 election.

It is also the only device to house support for the two most prominent smart virtual assistants of the day - Google Assistant and Amazon's Alexa.

However, we get to see the device in new photos and videos. It features a 5.5-inch Quad HD (1440x2560 pixels) Super LCD display with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection.

Internally there's an 835 Qualcomm Snapdragon processor.

You can also get a version with 6GB of RAM instead of the usual 4GB (matching the HTC 10), but this isn't available in the United Kingdom either. It still includes capacitive navigation keys and a fingerprint scanner mounted in the home button.

The cameras are also capable of recording 4K videos, comes with 360 sound recording and delivers high resolution audio. The device also has a 3,000mAh battery with QuickCharge 3.0 support.

As far as the phone's dimensions are concerned, the U Ultra comes in a size 162.41 x 79.79 x 3.6 - 7.99mm. The most obvious thing to do with these is to use them to open up an application, but the sensors are configurable so users can also set them up to open a shortcut to a specific app feature or to open a shortcut to a system functionality. The unveiling, which took place in Taipei, saw HTC introduce a new phone that is a natural extension to the HTC U Ultra, a sleek phablet from past year that didn't have much of a presence in the United States. But it does gain IP67 water and dust resistance. But more than just its own Sense Companion (which we'll get to later) and Google's Assistant, the HTC U11 has one other guest onboard.

HTC U11 runs on the latest Android 7.1.1 Nougat and has HTC's proprietary Sense 9.0 skin on top of it.
