I’m of a certain age to remember what was known as the golden age of travel, which took off after the first Boeing 707 jet began scheduled service in 1958. Back then, the industry was run by a government agency called the Civil Aeronautics Board, which controlled everything from fares to routes.

As many people as possible have access to the global transportation network, and that can only happen if carriers stay deregulated.

Anti-inflammatory Food List
Anti-inflammatory foods, if eaten regularly, can reduce inflammation in the body and bring the problem under control. What is inflammation? Inflammation is the first response of the immune system to infection or irritation.

Back then, air travel was a big deal, with passengers dressing in their finest for flights. I recall my first flight - New York to London on a Pan Am Boeing 747 jet in 1971. My cousins came to J.F.K. airport to see us off, and they also dressed up for the occasion. Travel in all classes was quite civilized, with happy flight attendants, fairly good meals and comfortable seats.

But not everyone could afford to fly.
