Abby Wambach To US Soccer, "Fire Jurgen Klinsmann!"
By Kelly Sanders Dec 17, 2015It's history now. Wambach leaves the game with 184 goals in 255 caps over a 14-year career.
The 35-year-old forward is hanging up her cleats after a stellar career.
The US women's national team faces China tonight (Dec. 16) in a friendly soccer match in New Orleans.
Current University of MI women's soccer head coach Greg Ryan had the opportunity to coach Wambach during his stint as a coach with the U.S. Women's National Team. How can they take a step forward?
It was the first loss for the Americans in 25 matches and the first loss on American soil since 2004 - a span of 104 games.
But no one - NO ONE - can beat a compliment from the leader of the free world. Tonight is her last match as a pro player and the last game of her World Cup Victory Tour. That wouldn't have been like her, after all. She also plans to continue to be outspoken. "She brought an acrobatic, aerial game to the US". It's not just about her, the player. She fights for the ball, she's courageous and she never gives up. Speed and power are no longer going to be enough. They had an arm around each other's hips. Her fame was made with games like the 2011 Women's World Cup quarterfinal header against Brazil, which has not only been voted the best ever in Women's World Cup history, but the best in US soccer history. They've got so much corruption, and their structure is going to be changing so much. The mission was to get Abby Wambach a goal, and it wasn't subtle. She signaled to the bench in the 70th minute, and came off one minute later for Christen Press.

Countries in the programme are also required to share information with US authorities about suspected terrorists. Stewart also voted to strengthen the vetting process for Syrian refugees looking to enter the United States.
Lindsey Horan nearly had the equalizer in the 87th minute for the United States but the Americans were called offside and the frenzied Superdome crowd reigned down on the field with boos.
There were plenty of signs that the end was near during the World Cup.
When it came to winning golden baubles, 2012 was a big year for Wambach. For few people of either sex have meant so much to their sport, or sports in general, as Wambach has. "Just watching those four goals, that's what she is all about". A role model beyond reproach.
Fan Stephen Lala lives in New Orleans shows off his signed soccer jersey and says he's hoping to complete his autograph collection. She carried on a legacy as she created her own. It probably won't happen, though. Cameras tracked Wambach as she ran to the stands in Vancouver to kiss and embrace Sarah Huffman, whom she married in Hawaii in 2013. Women's soccer was not Abby. And now, she simply wants to be forgotten. When I first got here, you know, there was a lot of attention.
During her postgame speech to the fans, Wambach said she was off the Bourbon Street to celebrate her career accomplishments. But I just think that this experiment that US Soccer has given Jurgen isn't one that personally I'm into. Wambach headed the ball to tie the game in stoppage time and went on to win in penalty kicks.
