Jazz center Rudy Gobert out indefinitely with knee injury

Surgery will not be required and the team will release more information once he has been further evaluated.

The big front line of the Jazz will be cut down a bit for the foreseeable future with Rudy Gobert suffering a Grade II sprained of the medial collateral ligament in his left knee. He's considered Utah's defensive anchor, and is one of the best rim protecting big men in the National Basketball Association.

Gobert suffered the sprain when he injured his knee in Tuesday's practice. The backup centers are Tibor Pleiss and Jeff Withey, two players who aren't very experienced.

Jeremy Hill and Tyler Eifert left game with injuries
To make matters worse for the Patriots, Rob Gronkowski was carted off the field late in the fourth quarter with a knee injury. Fisher said his players are "not losers" and their effort has been "outstanding", and added the Cardinals are his only focus.

He started when Gobert was out with the ankle injury, and Derrick Favors can slide over to center without much problem.

The artist sometimes known as The Stifle Tower is averaging 9.2 points per game, 10.9 rebounds per game, and 2.6 blocks per game this season. Jazz head coach Quin Snyder could look to go smaller, more often as well and use more of Trevor Booker and/or rookie Trey Lyles, although Lyles hasn't shown much in his young career.
