Two people died and a five police officers were injured when police stormed buildings where terror suspects were believed to be hiding out.

The dog was a 7-year-old malinois, or Belgian shepherd, named Diesel.

Pet owners uploaded photos of their dogs with a small French flag, donned in tricolors, or with a note with the hashtags, making it viral.

The police dog, named Diesel, died Wednesday during an apartment raid against suspects connected to the recent terror attacks on Paris.
