LG V30 Leak Shows Amazing Blue Color Variant

LG, the Korean tech company best known for its smart washing machines and TVs, unveiled its latest top-tier smartphone at the IFA tech show on Wednesday.

Earlier this month, we found out that the new LG flagship smartphone would feature a f/1.6 aperture (the first smartphone to do so) and a glass 16MP standard angle lens in the dual camera. The LG V30 carries the same kind of metal frame and glass panel to look premium.

Speaking of the screen, LG has removed the secondary display, a hallmark feature of the V-series, with the Floating Bar. Unlike the predecessor models that featured a secondary ticker screen, the LG V30 ditches it for good.

For one, LG has chose to finally put Qualcomm's latest Snapdragon 835 platform into a handset along with 4GB of low power DDR4. The V30 will run Android 7.1.2 out of the box, and LG said they'd hope to be able to share their Oreo update plans "by the end of the year, maybe". Additionally, the V30 is also dust and water resistant - IP68-certified - as also MIL-STD-810G certified so it can technically survive harsh environment.

Colour options for the V30 include Aurora Black, Cloud Silver, Moroccan Blue and Lavender Violet. LG has not revealed the price, but it is said to go on sale in South Korea on September 21 followed by other markets.

Harvey damage "devastating" — Red Cross
At the Mississippi Valley Regional Blood Center (MVRBC), they're revolving doors have been spinning all day. The Red Cross has trailers full of shelter supplies including cots and blankets, the Red Cross said.

The 18:9 Full Vision display gives more room for the screen, just as LG did with the G6 smartphone.

We knew a number of the LG V30's features ahead of the event. While the difference in the sound can't be identified with regular headsets, the Quad DAC with digital filters comes in handy while using the high-end headphones or the B&O Play headset included within the package. Juno states that the V30 is the first smartphone to feature a f/1.6 lens - LG calls it a "crystal clear" lens. If you care about the audio, the LG V30 devices got the 32-bit advanced Hi-Fi Quad DAC powered by ESS Technology's SABRE ES9218P chip.

LG has also made sure that its latest smartphone offers top-of-the-line performance. There will also be a 128GB storage version. In its announcement, LG noted that the V30 Plus with 128 GB of storage will be available in "limited markets", though it didn't mention which ones. There is a 3300 mAh battery with the fast charging and wireless charging support. The main rear camera is constructed from 5 plastic lenses with an additional glass lens at the front, a first of its kind in a smartphone (they're usually all plastic). The floating bar can also be customised with apps users choose.

LG is putting a bigger emphasis on video with this year's V30.

For security, the company has added face recognition, voice recognition, which uses a combination of user's voice and user-defined keywords to unlock the smartphone, and fingerprint sensor.
