Matt Murray: Pens' G Matt Murray loses; Cup Final tied 2-2

Maybe a change in lines. For the series, the Preds are now 4-10 with on their Power Play chances.

The seven-game series is now a best of three. Malkin had a more hard night. That's three less what Evgeni Malkin has on his own (26) and the same number Sidney Crosby has produced. It was how they lost.

Nashville Predators players salute fans after Game 3 of the NHL hockey Stanley Cup Finals against the Pittsburgh Penguins Saturday, June 3, 2017, in Nashville, Tenn. Bonino blocked a shot with his ankle in Game 2. It was only the third time since Crosby and Malkin became Pittsburgh team mates more than a decade ago that neither took a shot in a game.

The defending Stanley Cup champion Penguins were outshot for the fourth straight game.

And that's reason for the Penguins to wonder. "He plays in a lot of key situations for us", said coach Mike Sullivan. "I don't think we executed as well as we can". We found looks we liked.

Malkin spoke with more urgency. We can play him with offensive people. It's my line too.

For now, he insists he is happy enough just to sit on the floor as long as he plays.

"As much as we sit here and talk about attack all the time ..." "And so I finally realized that at the end of Game 6 of the conference final, so I knew it was going to come to fruition". He looked better than games 1 and 2 but not quite what we've been used to this year. We know they can play against anybody. "But obviously, these two games have been huge for us". The Stanley Cup Final doesn't start until the home team loses a game, and so through four games, this series hasn't even begun.

On May 22, a British suicide bomber killed 22 people and injured dozens at an Ariana Grande concert in Manchester . Witnesses reported seeing a vehicle travelling at about 80km/h strike people walking along the pavement.

Had Pittsburgh scored another goal, this one could have ended differently. "You don't want to give up two quick goals like that". It just didn't happen.

"I have no expectations", he said.

Gaudreau, a 24-year-old rookie, only has a chair in the locker room, but he now is the second player in National Hockey League history to score his first three career goals in a Stanley Cup Final, joining Johnny Harms with the 1944 Blackhawks. Jake Guentzel then crashed the net, got the loose puck after it deflected off Roman Josi's stick and whacked at it.

"I have no room". "I have the puck for like one second".

"We're disappointed we didn't get the result, but we also understand that this is a series", Sullivan said. Guentzel started the play, Crosby made a pass that led to Guentzel scoring on a rebound. Besides that game, as you can see from the graphic below, the Predators have been unstoppable when playing in front of their rabid fan base. Viktor Arvidsson boosted Nashville's lead to 3-1 13:08 into the second period.

Crosby was a force of nature, batting pucks out of the air with precision, or chasing them down. But his performance in Game 4, when Nashville could conceivably send the series back to PPG Paints Arena with a stalemate through four matchups, figures to be the X-factor for a Pens team that's thrived when their young goalie has showcased his signature poise. Crosby said after the game, the series is going to come down to which team can dictate their different styles of play.

Just 66 seconds later, Crosby tied it up for Pittsburgh on a dazzling breakaway. "When they had their chances, when our system broke down, Peks was there for us". They have been held to just three shots, none of them goals, on their last ten man advantages. "But we believe in these guys". Seconds later, the puck went the other way and Gaudreau scored on a wraparound to make it 2-1.
