Trailer for Marvel's The Defenders released

As Charlie Cox, Krysten Ritter, Mike Colter and Finn Jones bring their superheroes to the small screen once more, they'll come face-to-face with one another, forced to work alongside each other if they're to stop NY from being taken over for good.

You'll notice the awesome Nirvana tune in the background that certainly sets the tone for the trailer.

Two years and four separate TV launches are about to culminate in Netflix and Marvel's Defenders series, whose explosive trailer has just arrived.

Jessica Jones, meet Matthew Murdoch.

Netflix has been faithful on delivering superhero releases, and The Defenders has been described by some as the climax that Daredevil has been building toward from its first season.

But before the Luke-Danny fight ends, we get to see what happens when Danny's supercharged fist comes in contact with Luke's unbreakable face.

Starting with Bears, surprises galore on Day 1 of NFL draft
Both of those defensive players went on to have Hall of Fame careers in the league, something Trubisky hopes to do with the Bears. Thankfully the good folks at SportsCenter bleeped out the profanity, but the uncut versions are widely available on Twitter.

Instead, we see Matt Murdock/Daredevil (Charlie Cox) in his civilian guise as he bursts into an interrogation room where Jessica Jones (Krysten Ritter) is being interrogated by Misty Knight (Simone Missick).

Although the group seems to get off to a rough start, Daredevil's Stick (Scott Glenn) tells them that, "The war for NY is here".

They join forces to protect NY from a threat that's bigger than corrupt city politicians and Kingpin crime bosses. Fortunately, it seems that Netflix and Marvel may have picked up on that for the first official trailer. Now they are finally coming together, albeit begrudgingly, to make one super team in The Defenders, premiering August 18.

"The more connections you have, the easier it will be to break you", Alexandra claims, before the four showdown in what looks like the prelude to the elevator teaser.
