Questions about Rogue One? Ask the director on Twitter Friday

No word yet about Rogue One breaking Force Awakens records, however, that was never expected to happen.

Others posted a series of amusing GIFs expressing their disapproval including one of Luke screaming "Nooooooooo!" when he finds out Darth Vader is his father in The Empire Strikes Back.

Finally after so many months of patiently waiting, Rogue One: A Star Wars Story - the most-anticipated movie of the year - is finally arriving in theatres.

Entertainment Weekly has pointed out that the latest TV spot for the spin-off film seems to tease a return for Grand Moff Tarkin, the Imperial commander so memorably played by Peter Cushing in 1977's A New Hope. Wayne Pygram portrayed the character briefly in Revenge of the Sith, and Tarkin himself has gone on to appear in animated form in both Clone Wars and Star Wars Rebels. The final trailer of Rogue One: A Star Wars Story was only released a couple of days ago. Almost all of the major A-list stars from the movie will also be participating in the live Q&A, including Felicity Jones, Diego Luna, Ben Mendelsohn, Donnie Yen, Riz Ahmed, Mads Mikkelsen and Alan Tudyk. But when does the next Star Wars movie come out, after Rogue One? Rogue One: A Star Wars Story is set to open December 14th in France, 15th in the United Kingdom and 16th in the USA and everywhere else. But about five seconds into the ad, we see the back of another familiar-looking figure staring out at the Death Star.
